Thunderbolt - Late 2012 Mac Mini

I believe that I have Thunderbolt 1 on my MM.

I currently have 3 eternal HD's attached to USB ports and not using the TB1.

Would I achieve anything by purchasing a Thunderbolt Dock and then attach the ext HD's to it ?

If so, do you have any suggestions on the Thunderbolt docks as there are a plethora for sale ?

Thanks

I agree with woodmeister50.

If your external hard drives are USB 3.0, then your best bet is to get a self-powered USB 3.0 and plug the 3 external drives into it.

for a couple of example's

FWIW I use 2 self-powered USB Hubs with my 2012 Mac Mini.

A 7 port Belkin USB 2.0 Hub for my keyboard, mouse, LG DVD drive, flash drives and other USB 2.0 devices.

A 4 port Sabrent USB 3.0 Hub for 3 USB 3.0 hard drives and a USB 3.0 dual drive dock.
