One AirPod dies quicker than the other

Hello,

I just noticed today while using my AirPods for my online class that my right one has a lower battery percentage than the left one. This is the second time I noticed this happening but I always use them together.

Is there anything I can do about it or is this something really wrong with them?

I only got my AirPods 1 or 2 months ago so they are still new.

Update: my battery of the right one went to 1% while the left one still had 11% left so I immediately started charging both of them. Now they are charging but my left one is also charging quicker than my right one: left one is at 58% and right one is at 29%

New update: the left one is already at 87% while the right one still is only at 34%

Hey there Mathilde2,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand you have an issue related to your AirPod battery life. We’ll be happy to help.

Since each device has its own battery, it’s possible one could use more power than the other. Do make sure you’re getting the expected use as stated under “Learn about battery life” from this article:

It may also help if you reset your AirPods:

We hope this helps.

Take care.
