iPad randomly starts playing music from iMac

The past several evenings I’ve been sitting in the living room using my iPad when completely randomly, with no input from me, and with NO app running that would allow it to happen, my iPad starts playing a random track from the music on my iMac in the other room. My iPad is up to date on the IOS, and my iMac is up to date on the OS. There is NO (zero...) music loaded on my iPad. The only way I can get the iPad to stop playing the music is to turn it off and restart it.

Apple tech support claims this is impossible and has no knowledge of it (remember when Apple tech support people actually knew something about their products?).

Anybody else?

Do you have someone else in your house that likes to play tricks on you?

If your iMac and iPad are set up with the same iCloud account and on the same WIFI with Bluetooth/Airdrop turned on, I once read that you can Airdrop music to the opposite device without that device having to accept the Airdrop. Maybe someone is Airdropping one of your songs to your iPad and it automatically starts playing.

If it was just the one song and you restarted you iPad, it would stop the song. When you went to check your iMac, you wouldn't notice anything different.
