Greetings larbear71,

Thanks for posting here. We see from your comments that an alert appeared on your MacBook Air with a phone number to call. We'll be glad to guide you forward so you can enjoy your Mac again.

• First, if your Mac is not responding, we suggest shutting it down by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.

• Then start it up in safe mode, as explained here: How to use safe mode on your Mac. Safe mode scans your disk, and disables unessential software. It may take a few minutes or longer to boot into this mode, and the display resolution and colors will look slightly different.

• Next, we recommend reviewing this guide About pop-up ads and windows in Safari and following those tips while in safe mode.

If you continue to encounter any issues, feel free to reach out again. Let us know if you've installed any software recently, or the tasks you were doing just before this alert appeared. Your answers will help us find the best path to a solution.

Kind regards.
