iPhone 12 Pro Max Issues

Hello, I have been using iPhone 12 Pro Max for a week, and noticed few things.

  1. Volume. I connected my phone to my car and played music. I noticed the volume level is much less than when I connected my XR to the car. I need to turn up the volume much higher somehow on iPhone 12 Pro Max.
  2. I noticed my screen a bit flickering sometimes. I think it happened when it was displaying a page with certain background color.
  3. I also noticed that the phone was very hot when it was idle. It happened in the first couple of days. Hence, the battery drained very fast.

Do you also notice or experience these things on your IPhone 12 Pro Max?

Yes I have had my phone two days. Apple was unable to help over the phone. Suggested returning. I scheduled a consult at BB where I purchased it for tomorrow. In the meantime I have spent sometime online. Found a uTube video and went through the steps. I found in the last step to look for updates. The update on my phone mentions a fix for low volume. Obviously this is an issue with this phone. My standard rule is not to buy a new product until bugs are worked out. On this item I waited for this model and snapped it up as soon as it came out. Not a great idea. But try the update. My phone is updating as i write this. good luck

I noticed the volume issue too, but none of the others. Volume fix was simple for me. Apple introduced a new feature that is automatically enabled to reduce loud sounds from damaging your hearing long term.

You can disable this by going to:

Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety.

Then simply toggle off Reduce Loud Sounds.

Hope it works for you.

#3 happens to me. I checked every setting possible and randomly the area next to the camera gets super hot. I am really frustrated that with a premium phone like 12 pro max users are experiencing this?

of course you can replace it, send it back for repair but these are options that during a pandemic and a need for technology doesn’t make sense. Not to mention when they send you a replacement phone you KNOW it’s not going to be brand new like when you bought your original phone. They will claim it is but it never will be. Apple service is going way downhill. I’m a very disappointed loyal customer

I’m having camera issues too! I get green orbs when taking pictures after dark while in lighted rooms, and when I try to take a picture of the moon while on the patio. I can’t understand, this is supposed to be the “best camera” ever. I received a replacement, but that one has the same issues! In addition the picture color in the replacement is washed out-looking compared to the phone I’m supposed to return.

I upgraded to iphone max 12 pro through my telco and what a disappointment sadly - I was so excited! The issues:

1) the sound quality - there is a static - permanently on nearly every call that actually connects

2) when I pull up a contact and press "call" it does not work - no connection, no noise. I press "speaker" and it just switches off. I need to restart the phone to be able to make calls.

3) Its HOT - burning hot. More so around the camera, but in my case, the entire phone - I cant rest it on my leg (let alone hold it)

4) I cant verify my credit card for apply pay - it has imported via my previous phone and when I got to wallet and payments section, it says to verify with my bank verification code - but there is no code, and there is no explanation of how to get a code?

This horrid phone upgrade has turned my relatively efficient life into a complete mess in just one upgrade! If I can change the phone as this is a lemon, I think I will heed advice of others and go for the iphone 11.

I received three iPhone 12 pros in November my current network is T-Mobile. I’ve been with them just over 14 years.

To set aside one conversation, T-Mobile has been extremely helpful and very professional trying to help resolve my current situation/problems.

Upon receiving the phones I followed all procedures in setting up all three phones. Immediately after setting up all three phones I started experiencing technical problem.

Issues with dropping the phone calls, connectivity between 5G/LTE Wi-Fi, Internet connectivity, Siri acting erratically, dropping calls, network issues etc.

I contacted t-mobile on several occasions to investigate the issues, however they currently have no answers and are looking into it. As many of you are aware I do not believe it’s T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon or any other carrier with this issue. It is Apple. The fact that hundreds if not thousands of users are experiencing the same problem with her iPhone 12, leads me to believe that iPhone 12 has an had an existing problem. I think that Apple needs to address this and do it immediately. These phones are too expensive to have such issues. Not to mention that we’ve all come to rely an apple as a top producer and a company that sets the standard for quality.

At this point I’m starting to question that and believe that as a possibility these phones are produced in massively shipped knowing they were existing issues.

I have the iPhone 12 Pro max....similar concerns and issues. Mine is primarily related to heat and a hesitation/lag when trying to force close apps. I don't think these forums help, because all we do as loyal customers are complain, try and self diagnose, get ridiculous technical support, and then all we do is complain. Not ONE of these get read by apple and someone in apple who can actually make a change. Premium phone and crap quality.
