iPhone 12 Pro Max Issues

Hello, I have been using iPhone 12 Pro Max for a week, and noticed few things.

  1. Volume. I connected my phone to my car and played music. I noticed the volume level is much less than when I connected my XR to the car. I need to turn up the volume much higher somehow on iPhone 12 Pro Max.
  2. I noticed my screen a bit flickering sometimes. I think it happened when it was displaying a page with certain background color.
  3. I also noticed that the phone was very hot when it was idle. It happened in the first couple of days. Hence, the battery drained very fast.

Do you also notice or experience these things on your IPhone 12 Pro Max?

Upgraded from iphone 11 pro got the 12 pro max. Mine is getting warm as well that you couldn't use the flash in the camera app. And it's draining battery so quickly. Like 3 hours. And it also affected the battery life of my apple watch series 6. Now my watch won't last for 2 hours. The battery culprit I think was apple music. And when I deleted it, it still uses battery as deleted apps. Any help here?

Technology can be confusing. Personally it is somewhat of a burden but at the same time it is good to have. What I would do is I would rely on it when it is needed and try to not use it as much as I can. The thing with technology is that it is always upgrading and getting better and better. When you think you know it there is something else coming out. Personally I think a person would have to stay in a continuos learning environment to be able to keep up with technology because like I said there is always new stuff coming out so people that went to school twenty years ago for computers isn’t going to know anything about it now unless they have kept up with it. Same issue I had.

Ordered this phone for $1300 and change only to return it. Here I am back on my old phone, have to wait for a new phone to be mailed in. Very frustrating! For a phone this much they should be checked thoroughly before sending it out. Total inconvenience and bummed out. The lady kept stating we will refund $150 back as if that was something for the time and effort of setting it up etc.

I have been talking with Apple support for past 3 days with zero positive outcome!

My video calls and voice calls do not end before receiver of the call saying “ can’t hear you clearly” Your voice is cracking.


am fed up explaining this to them and they have done all sorts of troubleshooting and think consumers are fools! We know basic technology cmon.


now they have asked me to come to their store to reinstall OS! How is that gonna help ? Am hating this phone and I regret buying it. I hope they either help resolving it or replace it - this phone is super expensive and they have kinda made us guinea pigs !

Mine works perfectly and has since I got it in November.


That's not gloating, it's just a reflection that there must be something different between mine and yours that causes the issue.


Different carrier, OS issue, or perhaps a hardware problem.


Being methodical is the only way to find out what it is.


Apple could just replace your device but if it's an issue with your carrier, that wouldn't solve your problem, either.

I’ve had a new 12 pro max for 2 days, And have noticed that the volume is not high at all even when I turn it up to max. I set mine up as a new iPhone so it’s not because of transferring data. Mine also has camera issues I can’t take a picture because the camera just keeps blinking on and off from black screen to picture than the black screen but it won’t take a picture. Yet the video camera works fine. And I can take a screenshot of something on my phone. I also noticed the phone gets very hot. I will be doing a return, I ordered through Verizon so I just hope that I don’t get stuck with something refurbished. I don’t feel that’s an option with how much I paid.

I exchanged mine before Christmas and still have issues. My phone will not ring is I turn the volume down. So if I don’t want sound when i am on a game and I forget to turn the volume up I do not hear it ring when a call comes in. For the cost this is awful. I wanted the camera feature. I am so disappointed in Apple for not doing a much better job on this phone. Honestly wish I had purchased the 11

Your 100 percent right apple customer support has gone down the drain I have all these issues with my phone it’s in warranty and they will not care to exchange it for me i got sent to apple store twice they will not admit fault it was like a battle against me and then for them to admit there is issues with my phone they kept doing diagnostics on the phone then giving it back saying there’s nothing wrong with it when clearly the speakers sounds like I’m speaking to a robot with a hangover the screen flickers when I zoom in and out and the over heats every time while on charge and I’ve sent it off for repair twice now and they sent it back saying it’s fine nothing wrong with that means my warranty holds know value at all what’s the point off even having it I’m very stressed after paying 1100 pounds which I have never been able to do or afford a brand new iPhone and this the experience and customer service I’m getting from apple very unhappy stressed out don’t know what to do next there call centre are based all over the world they hardly can speak English and have very little experience this is fully stressing me out after being on calls to apple support for hours and still they refuse to exchange my defected iPhone 😥😥😥

can anyone help? I have been upgrading my iPhones now every two years. And for that time I just can’t figure out, why I do not receive notifications Badges on my setting wheel for software updates. I have contacted Apple more that once, but they still can’t help. I have turn off automated updates so the setting wheel can show red number 1 badge notification. But nothing. Please help
