Question:
Cannot slide to answer phone calls I try to answer the call but slider refuses to move fully to right. I have other issues with the swiping not working appropriately over the screen. I do have a screen protector that the phone technician sold for the 12 iPhone mini and case. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t… But mostly on phone calls it will not let me answer the call.

If you have a screen protector on the iPhone and are experiencing a problem with the touchscreen, I suggest that you remove the screen protector and test the screen. What make/model of screen protector do you have? You also mention a case. Does the case cover part of the screen along the edges?
Hi - I found a fix.
1) settings
2) accessibility
3) Switch control
4) scroll down to point scanning
5) click gliding slider, change to single.
The update refers to the iPhone lock screen becoming unresponsive. I've used Speck cases in the past, and I doubt that is it, however I'm not so sure about that screen protector. It does not have a notch cutout in it, and that can cause issues with FaceID, but I wouldn't know about it interfering with the screen working. You can take a look at this support document and see if anything there helps the screen. If not, then I would say to remove the screen protector and test things. It is a software issue and Apple needs to fix and 14.2 does not fix it. several people have the same issue. TRY using your index finger most of them will open with your index finger but not your thumb.

The screen is unresponsive on my iPhone 12. Have done a reboot by pressing volume etc.. gone onto my laptop to try and sort on iTunes , it sends a code to my phone which I can’t get because I can’t get into my phone!

Mine too. The iphone 12 mini definitely has display issue. Sometimes, i cannot slide it to accept the call. Another issue is that when I stick plastic shield on, the display cannot let me to put numbers to unlock and does not let home button to slide up. How should i refund it from far country where there is no apple center.
I just saw a new update so l installed it. It has something to do with iPhone 12 mini screen. Let’s see if that helps.
No, I just did 14.2 but am in process of 14.2.1 and says it will fix it. thank you.
My phone is updated to 14.2.1 and the issue seems to be getting worse!
