JPEG to jpg

Hi,

We recently updated to Catalina and now when ever we resize and export from photo roll to documents the extension is always .JPEG when it used to be .jpg

We need the images to be .jpg in order to upload them to our website.

Could any one please explain why they have suddenly changed to JPEG and how we change it back to JPG

Since the Catalina upgrade Photos is renaming the files we are importing internally. It is changing the filenames to a unique key and renaming the the the file extensions of imported JPEGs to jpeg. Th INFO is showing the original filename, but internally the original filename does no longer exist. For example, I imported a file with the name "02-41RuegenKleinerLord.JPG" to Photos, the Info is still showing this filename, but internally the file is stored as "E34BC828-5F6D-466B-BA56-B7B6CFA72091.jpeg".

When exporting the file as the unmodified original Photos 6 on Big Sur will use the correct original filename extension "JPEG", but not, when exporting the edited version.
