HomePod mini play pause lag when paired with Mac mini

My HomePod mini does this too. I just got it as an early Christmas present.

I'm really disappointed.

I expect more from my Apply products to be honest...

I hope they can fix it. :(

i have No issues with my regular sized HomePod...

I'm having the same issue of a 2-3 second delay when skipping tracks using Spotify and my MacBook Pro.

I got my HomePod mini during Christmas and experienced exactly the same problem. Around 1 - 2 s delay for play and pause.

One more guy with exactly the same problem. My video played on Macbook pro 2020 (13 inch) is not synced with Homepod mini at all! The delay is about 2-3 seconds. Any clue when it's fixed?

Any idea on how to bring this problem to Apple’s attention?

It’s been years since Airplay 2 has been released. It should have been resolved a long time ago...

I have the same problem with my macbook pro 13' 2020. And furthermore there are interruptions while watching videos and stuff. so it has delay and interruptions, i will return it.

That should be no excuse to what I happening if they are to sell a product it should be free of any imperfections.

how come when you mirror your screen to an Apple TV, there are no delays including for the sound?

Unfortunately, I have the same problem while watching a movie on my iMac.

The sound is out of sync no matter what I try.

I have the same issue and a lip sync issue as well

Unfortunately, I have the same issue and wanted to ask you a question. I hope Apple solves this, because it's really annoying.

In my case, there is also a delay of 1 to 3 seconds no matter what I'm listening to on all devices. (MacBook Pro 15" and iPhone) So If I pause or skip or anything else there is always this delay but as you already said, it syncs up perfectly fine. It just seems to be a slow response problem. Even if I touch the top panel of my HomePod mini to pause it takes a while.

Now, I've discovered something weird: Changing volume of the HomePod mini itself on my MacBook Pro seems to be the only action where there is absolutely no delay. I'm very interested if that's the case with your Mini as well.
