Hello Lars Stenfeldt Hansen,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We want you to be able sync your files to your new Mac and will do what we can to help.

You can always check the status of any service here for issues: Apple - Support - System Status

If you're still having issues, try restarting from the Apple () menu on your Mac and accessing the files from iCloud again.

If you still have issues, let us know the types of files you are trying to access and if you see them on the iCloud website.

Cheers.

I have the same issue: iCloud not syncing with MacBook Pro M1 chip. Contacts sync fine, Photos sync fine, and Calendar sync fine; however, documents folder just sits for days now waiting to upload. Doing a clean install don't resolve the issue don't waste your time. After doing a clean install, google backup and sync also fails to install. The installer gives an error and just quits.

I'm thinking both iCloud and Google drive are having problems getting by the new built in security chip.
