I just bought some NFC tags and my new iphone 12 pro reads them through 3rd party apps but the 'background NFC reader' that the phone is supposed to have doesn't seem to work. I have made sure that I put the tag near the phone when the phone is on, not in airplane mode etc. If anyone has any advice that would be helpful - the same thing happens with my boyfriend's iphone 12 pro
Had the same issue.
solved by using another app for format and re-write the nfc tag, don’t use “nxp tag writer” has some issues, I don’t know why or if only for me... but I used “nfc tools” (https://apps.apple.com/it/app/nfc-tools/id1252962749?l=en) and works great! Each time I pass the tag near the iPhone it get it. Worked for a few days so I think it’s stable ;)
Same issue. iPhone mini. NFC reads like 1 in every 10 attempts. My partners 11 reads it every time.
I use freestyle libre 2 en doesn’t work with 12 max pro. I am forced to use my husbands phone 11 max pro. If he is not around i am having a big problem.
My iphone 12 pro max cant read the tag "background", it read well when using an Apps /Tool. Which is not convenient and display info/functions is different by apps as well.
