Side button - Assistive touch

The problem started when I went to the AppStore and I wanted to confirm with Face ID, but the AppStore said I needed to activate assistive touch for me to do that. I then went to the accessibility menu and activated assistive touch and now I can download things without a problem. Except, now I have the assistive touch circle on my screen (which I don’t want) and the side button lost its double click function. Please help

If you don’t want the circle for AssistiveTouch to appear on the screen, and you want to be able to double click side button to confirm purchases made in the App Store, then you need to turn off AssistiveTouch and Confirm with AssistiveTouch options under Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch menu in Settings app.

I don’t think you understood what I meant

All I understood is you want to turn off AssistiveTouch. Triple click of side button, if you have enabled it would, bring Accessibility Shortcut menu where you can turn on/off accessibility features you added to the menu. Otherwise AssistiveTouch can be disabled via Settings > Accessibility menu or you could ask Siri to do it.

AssistiveTouch isn’t required to confirm purchases in the App Store using Face ID; all it should be required is to have Settings > Face ID & Passcode > iTunes. & App Store option enabled.

For the “confirm with assistive touch” option to appear, I have to activate assistive touch, which I don’t want to do because the assistive touch circle appears in my screen.

before this whole situation, I used to be able to confirm using the side button without having assistive touch activated.

that’s what I meant from the beginning, as I have already tried all of what you said:)
