iPhone 12 Pro display crackles when thumb pressed slightly on the display in the area where LiDAR sensor is located

I accidentally pressed my thumb slightly more than normal on the display area where LiDAR sensor is located and the display got pressed down with crackling sound. It sounds like that there is some gap between display’s shielding plate and the camera shielding plate. When the display is pressed it feels like it is getting pressed down and touching the camera shielding plate. When the the thumb is released the display crackles and restores itself.

Has anyone noticed this?

Is it happening with anyone else?

I already have my iPhone 12 Pro put in Apple’s “iPhone 12 | 12 Pro Silicone Case with MagSafe - Black”.

Please note that the display getting pressed and consequently its crackling occurred whilst my iPhone 12 Pro was already in the case.

So according to your suggestion: putting the iPhone 12 Pro in the case still doesn’t mitigate the display getting pressed and consequently its crackling.

It was not done on purpose by any intention and I would definitely not risk my $1,110.88 purchase. It happened accidentally and that’s how I noticed it. I own iPhone 4s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 7 and have not observed this on any of their displays.

Why is it happening with iPhone 12 Pro display?

It feels like the iPhone 12 Pro display is not secured and fitted firmly to the chassis with some gaps left between display shielding plate and the camera shielding plate.
