after 10.13.6 update the apple pro apps won't launch

on a 2011 17'' macbook pro, decided to finally update from 10.13.3 to 10.13.6, after which neither of the pro apps finalcut, motion, compressor, logic, even garage band would start, all with the same error: "The application can't be opened", then I get a crash report. In the app store under purchased, finalcut says it needs to download an older version, which it does, but then it won't install; Logic downloads and installs, because it says "open" when done, but then it would crash. I can upload the crash report it if someone wants to take a look

thank YOU... that thread is really confusing, so what I did was to rename the valid.sqlite3 file (/Library/Keychains/crls/valid.sqlite3), which got recreated when I launched different apps. So far they all seem to work, and the world didn't come to an end after renaming, as I initially thought.

So... fingers crossed

You can also try this, but after reboot or some days it may stop working:

1. From a clean reboot, run in terminal "spctl --assess -v /Applications/YourApp.app"

2. From a Finder window, under Applications, right-click (Ctrl-Click) on your app, and select "Signer Info"

3. Enjoy your app

it worked... with mixed results. The apps I mostly cared for Logic, Finalcut, Mainstage are opening now, but others don't, like Pages and Keynote. Also, I don't see a "Signer Info" on the contextual menu for the app, so I'm not sure how to handle that. Anyway, that command, spctl.. what's that supposed to do? it takes a little while, then the terminal answers with "/Applications/Logic Pro X.app: accepted". It did that even for the apps that I couldn't open
