HomePod Stereo Pair Use w/Mac

I noticed an old thread that stated they were unable to send audio from their Mac to a stereo pair of HomePod's, only to either the Left or the Right HomePod.

Does anyone know if this issue has been addressed? If so, please school me.

HomePod mini stereo I've bought two homepod mini speakers and paired them in stereo with my iPhone. When I use them as an output to my iMac and listen to music from youtube or anything else except the Music app through them, I get strange noises and loss of connection from time to time. What could be the problem?

mac homepod stereo On Big Sur, homepod stereo works only using Apple music but not with other sources such as spotify. In the speaker settings the homepods appear separately. Has any one experience with that problem or an adequate solution?

No change. iTunes/Music can use the stereo pair, but the main Mac sound system sees them as individual devices.
