Danish letters on an English keyboard

My friend has a MacBook Pro from 2011 with English Keyboard. Is there something she can do when she wants to write Danish-specific letters? Can she switch between the two, or something else?

If you hold and press a key, you should get a popup menu where you can choose characters for other languages.


The English keyboard can also make Danish letters via the option key. See
