can't stream 4k in safari

If I understood correctly one of the new features of safari 14 is that now you can stream 4k video, but after upgrading to Big Sur it still doesn't work. I remember an update for safari showed up the day big sur was released, but I didn't install it because the Big Sur update came, and the safari update never installed.

Is there something I'm doing/did wrong? if yes/otherwise what can I do?

Thanks in advance

It might still be in testing on macOS but you can enable it in macOS 11.0.1 Safari

Go to Safari preferences > advanced >  √ the box for Show Develop menu in menu bar (under advanced)

Develop (menu) >Go to experimental features and enable VP9 SW decoder on battery & enable VP9 decoder
