I have downloaded the free 90 day trial of Logic Pro X on my MacBook, but it won’t let me install it. It says “macOS version 10.14.6 required” even after I’ve already done the macOS update. I can’t find any other updates on system preferences or App Store. Is there anything else I need to do?

Officially you couldn't even get High Sierra (10.13) on that Core2Duo Macbook from 2009. The highest supported OS is El Capitan, AKA Mac OS X 10.11.6. And for the latest Logic (10.6.0) you need at least Catalina, AKA the last Mac OS X (10.15.7).
