IOS 14.2 on iPhone 8

Since the update to IOS 14.2 my iPhone 8 has had battery issues. The displayed percentage of power doesn't drop nearly as quickly as pre-14.2 and then the phone will shut down unexpectedly because, in reality I assume, the battery has drained. Very, very annoying. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this with IOS 14.2?

iOS 14.2 battery drain on my iPhone and wife’s too. Excessive heat dissipation as well.

Hi. 14.3 is now available if you connect to Finder/Tunes and check for software update. I've loaded it but my phone is still shutting down, battery %age not correct etc.
