Apps one what I search for

I was helping my daughter find a nice watch on safari and now one news app keeps showing watch ads. How can in stop apps from knowing what I do in safari?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Clear Web History and website data. Go to Settings>Safari. That is how cookies work to get you to find things.

Private Browsing is one, or making sure that you clear that history and website data regularly.

No, that is only your web browsing history and cookies. Won't affect passwords at all.
