Issues with SideCar since a few weeks

I have an issue with SideCar since a few weeks. My iMac doesn't want to connect to my iPad Pro for SideCar any longer. It first started out some miscellaneous error, I've had several error codes pop up: 6709, 32002, 71143. At the moment I just get a 'timed out' error.

First I got it working again (somewhat) by signing out of my Apple ID and signing back in again on both devices. But it wouldn't connect through wifi, only with a cable. Now it doesn't work at all.

My iPad is running iPadOS 14.2 and when the problems started my iMac was running Catalina. Now Big Sur is installed. SideCar was initially working with cable on Big Sur as well.

I'm at a loss at the moment of what's causing this issue. Any ideas?
