iPhone 12 Pro Max Bluetooth Issues

Hello,

I am having Bluetooth connection issues with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I could not been able to connect my iPhone to my headphones. (Denon AH-GC30). My iPhone does not see my headphones. Below what i did before asking this question.

I checked my headphones with my iPhone 7 plus - It works.

I checked my headphones with my Macbook Pro - It works.

Then i checked Bluetooth versions - both iPhone 12 Pro Max and my Headphones support version 5.

Lastly - i restarted my iPhone, updated to last version of iOS, reset network settings, but Bluetooth of my iPhone Does not see my Headphones.

What is wrong with it? Why such expensive phone, do not see my headphones, but my old iPhone does? Both have the same iOS 14.2.1.

(P.S. - could not select iPhone 12 Pro Max in device field, it does not exists here)

I cannot connect my 12 Pro Max to my cars Bluetooth (hands free calling only). It’s been driving me crazy.

I also have an issue with the echo auto. The phone keeps thinking it’s a pair of headphones instead of a Bluetooth speaker and keeps turning down the volume after a certain period of time.

It’s so annoying and I’ve been back and forth with Apple support and their engineers and they basically told me to contact Amazon—even though it works fine on my XS Max and 6s+.

This is so annoying and needs to be addressed immediately. When I’m driving this is a safety hazard.

I got my pro max last Monday (11/30/20) left the store and turned my truck on and it immediately recognized my trucks Bluetooth. I didn’t think anything of especially since the store was horrible to work with ,but that’s a whole other dilemma. Got home and tried to connect to my home stereo and it didn’t search at all. I turned the phone off and then it would see the stereo and my various other BT devices then it just erases them and continues to search. It’s been like that since day one.

We can’t be told that the new iPhone is so great and it doesn’t even connect to Bluetooth. We all spend $1000.00 on a phone and this type of crap happens ?

Im just glad when I searched google this forum came up because I was beginning to think my phone was the lemon. I hope any new information gets posted here. Still very upset with apple that this issue hasn’t been resolved yet. Stop worrying about emojis and security terms and make the phones just work.

on a side note I was told by a former apple employee that changing your phones name is not recommended. It’s not the cause of the issue but in general it’s not a good idea.

I've been reading everyone else's posts, and seems like there is a huge APPLE problem with the connectivity of the iPhone 12 (I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max). I work with other people with older iPhones, and their phones connect with no problems to the same devices that my new phone won't connect to.... it's so frustrating. I've reset the network settings, but that did not solve the problem. Has anyone found a solution?

This is so frustrating, bought the Iphone 12 Pro Max just a day old only to find out that the Bluetooth setting is defective and does not show any devices I have, e.g. bose speaker, sony headset, etc.

Works fine with my older Iphone, not just in this latest and greatest and most expensive Apple Iphone to date.

I wish Apple will provide answers as to why this expensive phone will not have a functioning Bluetooth as it is frustrating with no bluetooth connectivity at all.

I tried calling Telstra store that I bought it from, left messages and emailed, but no luck, and hoping here some answers will shed light to this..

Got the exact same issue. Got 2 new Iphone 12's and they will not connect phone calls through the car stereo system. Have had 2 chats with appeal and their engineers still not working. I know my bluetooth is connecting because it will play podcasts, Spotify or any other app with sound and it will pause the podcast when a call comes in and unpause it when the call ends, but will not play the call through the car system. They blame the car, but my iPhone 8 worked and my kids iPhone XR work fine with the car, it is just the new 12's that are not working.

Also having the same issues others are discussing endless searching, not auto connecting to my MacBook Pro through bluetooth. Totally frustrating. Now I know why I never get the newest phone, I usually get one a year old so that they have the kinks worked out.

Apple support took control of my Mac remotely and me through the steps required to run diagnostics on the phone which then produced a file which was sent back to them to allow them to remotely analyse the phone. I stress that my phone did not recognise any bluetooth devices from day one, regardless of manufacturer etc. Different to some who can see some bluetooth devices but not all. My phone saw no devices at all at ant time.

I’m having this issue with my car. The car recognizes the phone. The phone recognizes the car but the Bluetooth doesn’t kick in. Sometimes randomly it will connect but just goes off again. I’ve done all the fixed and even got my phone switched by Apple. It’s not the phone!

All the paired Bluetooth settings are kept on the cloud. So as long as the old iPhone is still registered to the apple account the paired Bluetooth settings remained with the old iPhone and the devices can’t show or be paired with the new iPhone with the same name. I finally erased my old iPhone and removed from the apple account. Now all 7 separate Bluetooth devices are paired with the new iPhone. The problem with Wi-Fi calling turn on notices all stop also. Apple’s engineers should have figured out the potential problem and address it in Help. Job would agree I think.
