Will Apple service a manufacturing defect with a minor crack which is no way related to the actual issue reported.

I have a Mac Book Pro which is under warranty. I have noticed on July that there are lines on the screen and once the display turns out to sleep it takes hours to awake it back. Adding to that I have noticed heating issues and I can hear the internal fan sounds even with few minutes of usage.

I have reported this to the support team and tried to follow few steps provided by them but it didn't work out. Since covid I was unable to submit it store. After few days of usage there was a thin crack below the display which later started spreading. I had a talk with senior support advisor where they agreed that there was a manufacturing defects earlier in my Mac. But they want it to be submitted to the the service center.

Just curious to know whether the crack which occurred later with no relation to the issue will void my warranty?.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.
