Hi, so sometime ago, I changed a setting on my Macbook, and I just can’t seem t remember what I did. My question is, How do you stop the computer from opening the last apps I had opened before shutting it down? This is slowly killing me that I have to exit 7 different applications every time I wake up my Mac.

Ahh, I don't have a device with a touch bar, so am not aware of what's available there. Another way that will assist with this:
System Preferences > General > tick the "close windows when quitting an app". That is not necessarily during the login, but will also help.
As it shuts down, there is a small pop up that asks if you want to reopen apps - uncheck that.
Thanks, usually I just hold down the Touch ID button and never really used that logo to shut the computer down. Truthfully, I forgot u could shutdown the computer like that
