Finally, I fixed this issue! What you need to do is, when this message pops up, what you need to do is go to wifi settings and try to find to which wifi is your iphone trying to connect. Once you find the name to the wifi which your iphone is trying to connect it, you need to select “Forget this network”. The point is that you could not fix it at home, you need to fix it once the message pops up! Hope this helps you all.
The Wi-Fi button in the control center does not turn off Wi-Fi. It disconnects from the currently connected Wi-Fi network, but leaves Wi-Fi on. See→Use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in Control Center - Apple Support
I’m having the same problem (iPhone xR) and it’s not just a specific network. It starts when I leave the house and I believe get around a new WiFi network. Eventually it stops, but when it starts it’s aggressive
I have this issue and the thing about the safari page is definitely not true in my case; I have checked several times.
I also do not believe I have installed any certificates.
This issue most often comes up when my phone is plugged into my apple carplay. I am not certain what the connection is there; I do not have wifi service through my car etc.
I thought it was from driving by various unfamiliar networks but it is too consistent to be the case. Any thoughts on the apple carplay connection? I turned my "Ask to Join Networks" off completely as well as turning off completely "Auto-Join Hotspots" (both were set to "Ask," not to auto-join, but I have now disabled asking, as well). Fingers crossed that helps because this issue is a bit of a nightmare.
I don’t have spectrum, Fiber. How do I get rid of it? It’s ridiculous. It’s fine at home, but when I go for a drive around businesses, with WiFi, no doubt, it pops up every 15 seconds. For the love of God and all things holy, help a brother out!!
Please let me know if that works for you, and In my particular case, it definitely happens outside of Apple CarPlay.
I would be really appreciative if anybody who turns off the auto join function has any success, and if they would would let us know.
What is your history with Nokia phones?
Look at the two posts before yours.
This has nothing to do with WiFi. its a cellular issue of some sort.
Happens to me alot while at home connected to my own WiFi.
I’ll do that. Thanks for the info!
Done, done and done! Thank you for an actual useful answer vs the rest of the banter on here. Worked perfectly and took less than two minutes. This should be “the most helpful” response on here.
I guess you didn’t bother to read the thread you posted to. After you read it post back and we can discuss it.
