Automator calendar alarms cannot be created and saved in Big Sur / M1 mac mini?

Recently bought an M1 Mac Mini.

Automator Calendar Alarms and Apple Calendar 'Automation' group did not migrate over. I can still create these on an old Mac Mini.... And I sitll have scripts there which have been running successfully for years....

However, it seems that it is not possible to create and SAVE Automator Calendar Alarm scripts on my new Mac Mini M1 running Big Sur 11.0.1

I'm guessing this is some sort of application permissions thing where Automator can't write to Apple Calendar to create the Calendar Alarm.

Can anyone help, please?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

Actually, I just came across this website. Everything worked for me after the fact. I could create or save anything in Automator.

From the website:

Solution

Open Terminal, and run the following:

xcode-select --install

This will download and install the Command Line Tools package and fix the problem.
