Logic Pro project storage / edit directly in iCloud?

Hello community,

I am using Logic Pro X on my MacBook Air mid 2013 with a 256GB SSD.

As my SSD is filling up over the years I am wondering if an external HDD is the only solution for Logic Pro project storage or if I could also transfer all of my closed as well as active projects to iCloud and work from there?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

External HD is the best.

Don't use a cloud service without zipping/compressing Logic projects. There are many posts on this forum from users whose logic files have become corrupted.

BTW I found an official Apple document about this thread:

Overview of sharing in Logic Pro

By default, Logic Pro saves projects as a special kind of file called a package,

which non-Apple formatted hard drives and Internet services do not

support. To insure that your project opens properly on another computer,

you need to compress the Logic Pro project package before copying or

uploading.
