YouTube Audible Notification does not work on Lock Screen

Hoping someone can help.

If my phone is locked, for some reason when I receive any notification from YouTube for any videos subscribed to, the audible alert does not sound anymore. The screen wakes up and the notification appears but there is no sound. I am receiving audible alerts for all other apps like messages, WhatsApp etc but just YouTube is not working. As far as I can see everything is on as it should be within Sound and Haptics section within the settings and also within the settings of the app itself but to no avail. Phone is the 12 Pro Max and using the latest software.

Thanks for checking that for us. Can you also tell us if you're using a VPN? If you are, can you make sure you have it off?

Also, can you tell us if this occurs on Wi-Fi and cellular data as well?

It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with audio notifications from YouTube. We will be happy to help.

If you go to Settings > Notifications > YouTube is Sounds turned on?

Is the iPhone up-to-date? Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Is the app updated in the App Store?

Also are your date and time correct?

Since other apps notifications are working, this appears to be isolated to that one app. At this point, we recommend reaching out to the app developer to see if they can provide assistance: How to contact an app developer

I have already tried contacting them but to no avail, which is frustrating. The thing is when I bought the phone and set it up, the audible notifications were working fine but since then for some reason it no longer works. I understand a similar issue has been in place before for other apps such as Messages but I believe this has been corrected.

I have checked all the above and everything is up to date and how it should be.

Date and time is correct.

Hi Bailier,

VPN is switched off.

Happens on both WiFi and cellular.

I have previously deleted the app and reinstalled again but the issue still remains.
