5120x1440 49" ultra wide monitor - Mac Mini 2018 with Big Sur

I have upgraded my mac mini 2018 with Big Sur and I am testing a Viotek 49 inch SUW49DA (5120x1440). I use a DP to usbc cable 8k@60hz.

It is possible the mac mini 2018 cannot display the full resolution. I am not IT savvy enough to figure out this part.

It displays 3840x2160. Still it does not work properly.

I am still looking for options but I guess I will need to return my monitor.

Mac mini, macOS 11.0

Open the Display Preference, hold the Alt (option) key and click on the Scaled button.

If that doesn’t help, try some of the other suggestions at > https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252093374

It did not show the correct resolution even with low resolution box checked.

However, I tried SwitchResx and it works. Now, I am looking for a free option.
