My AirPod pros won’t connect or reset

I just got a pair of AirPod Pros. My iPhone 11 says they are connected but nothing plays through them. I tried resetting them but never get an amber light. I get a green flash then a few white flashing lights then nothing. I have gone through the process of forgetting device, reset network settings, tried resetting AirPod pros but all to no avail. I did succeed once with resetting network settings. Only worked for one setting. Now won’t play no matter what I do even though my Bluetooth says they are connected. I am super frustrated. Please help!!
