Macbook pro 2018 screen flickering black with vertical white lines from top.

My macbook pro screen flickers black with white vertical lines. It's been going on for a while and getting worse. I've tried resetting SMC, NVRAM, i've also tried reinstalling MacOS updated to the latest version and nothing seems to fix the problem but it has gotten a little bit better after reinstalling MacOS. When I start up my mac in safe mode it doesn't have this problem, the screen works fine then. I've tried making another user this doesn't fix it. When I watch video or move my mouse the flickering stops. If I plug in an external monitor it doesn't flicker on the external monitor and it still flickers on my macbook screen but a lot less frequent. If I play music it flickers to the beat. I've also cleared all caches this didn't help either. Does anyone have the same problem? It's a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports). Updating MacOS didn't change anything.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.0

Hey there GandalfTheWizard,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand there is some flickering on your Mac display. We’ll be happy to help with this.

You’ve done some great troubleshooting on this issue so far. You may want to run an Apple Diagnostics on your Mac and see if there are any known issues with the hardware. This link can help:

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac

If that doesn’t find any issues, you may want to consider backing up your Mac and then reinstalling macOS. You can find more info here:

We hope this helps.

Take care.
