Iphone 12 Pro Max Keeps Losing Wifi Signal

Hi, had my iPhone for just over a week and annoyingly everyday it keeps losing Wi-Fi signal at random points during the day. Only solution I have found so far is to switch Wi-Fi off in settings and switch it back on. Have reset router several times too. The problem is getting really annoying as I switched from Android after 15 years and have never had this issue with my previous Samsung 10 or Huawei P30 Pro and other android based phones. Anybody found a solution or is it a case of sending the phone back and going back to an android based phone?

I switched off wifi assist it’s in the setting/ cellular scroll all the way to the bottom

it appears to have stopped it from happening

apple put this feature in to switch to a cellar connection if a wifi signal is weak.

I was right in front of the router and it was switching so I just turned it off

So did anyone find a fix to this problem? I have a 7 month old iphone 12 pro max that had been dropping wifi and cellular connections all the time. The wifi and cellular signals show connected, but nothing loads ( forget safari etc, but even low level apps like weather just stop responding, let alone higher demand ones like Robinhood).

i used to think it was probably because of my google wifi, but then why does it happen on cellular?

Tried everything (and I mean everything on this thread, resets, restores, delete apps, vpn whatever)

So anyone here who found a solution to this would be a great help to my situation.

It would appear there is no solution and Apple seem to be keeping their mouths tightly shut. I’ve been having this problem for months and Apple support guys just lead you up a garden path and beck again. I’m fed up with it. Mines dropping at least 10-15 times daily. I feel like taking a ride to my local Apple shop and driving my car through the shop front. Enough is enough. I’m furious now. Please give us a fix for this Apple.

Let’s hope this new software update works! As I’ve had trouble with my wifi dropping since I’ve had the phone… lots of phone calls with Apple.. they seem to be oblivious to it. I know about 4 people with the same issue with the iPhone 12 Pro where wifi drops! How many more of us are paying for a service that doesn’t work?! If this software doesn’t work I will be asking for refund for my iPhone 12 Pro and going back to my iPhone X

I note that many people say that they own early iPhone 12’s. I wonder if more recent ones have been altered to fix this problem. If so then I can’t see Apple admitting that the early ones had problems, because that would make them liable to replace all the early ones - at massive cost to them. If this is the case then all of us, with early 12’s, will end up upgrading them earlier than we had planned - a bonus for Apple. Maybe the lesson is not to purchase a model when it is first introduced. But, if so, how long do you wait?

Yes, the loss of Steve Jobs may have started the decline. Many business are started by inspirational entrepreneurs, who’s vision and drive bring success. They then pass to the next generation who admire the vision but lack the spark. By the third generation the spark has gone altogether. I still like Apple phones, and because all my family have them, it is convenient to use them. But the old reliability and innovation seems to have been replaced by showy appearance to some extent.

Yea and I thought it was fixed. It’s not. In 3 years they’ll be a class action lawsuit snd we’ll get an email if we want to apply and we won’t and they’ll come out with a new phone which renders my 7 chargers obsolete and well buy it. End of the day this is our own fault for remaining loyal to the brand that consistently screws it customers.

Yeah! They told me the same but soon shut up when I said it happens at other People houses. So it deffo not the broadband! Unfortunately I even went to the Apple store and completely rest my iPhone and they told me it would fix the issue. It hasn’t ! I am debating to ask for a refund for the phone and downgrade to a iPhone 11. But find it very time consuming and exhausting explaining the issue to so many different people !
