Iphone 12 Pro Max Keeps Losing Wifi Signal

Hi, had my iPhone for just over a week and annoyingly everyday it keeps losing Wi-Fi signal at random points during the day. Only solution I have found so far is to switch Wi-Fi off in settings and switch it back on. Have reset router several times too. The problem is getting really annoying as I switched from Android after 15 years and have never had this issue with my previous Samsung 10 or Huawei P30 Pro and other android based phones. Anybody found a solution or is it a case of sending the phone back and going back to an android based phone?

I switched off wifi assist it’s in the setting/ cellular scroll all the way to the bottom

it appears to have stopped it from happening

apple put this feature in to switch to a cellar connection if a wifi signal is weak.

I was right in front of the router and it was switching so I just turned it off

I’ve been told by Apple on the phone that the next step I need to do. Is go to the Apple store (again) sit there all day until the wifi drops.. baring in mind I don’t know when the wifi will drop! I have screen recording and there just fobbing me off. I only bought this phone in April and I complained to Apple back in May.. apparently I’m not even allowed a replacement iPhone 12 Pro until I have tried everything. I’ve tried everything! Surely this is against our consumer rights if something isn’t working properly! I’m so fed up of 100 of phone calls with Apple.. software update don’t fix the issue.. the diagnostic they run don’t fix it… the high tech agents act like theve never heard of it… I’ve always had a iPhone and this is just making me think it time to move away!

Don’t know if this is any relevance but me and wife had same issues with iPhone 12 Pro Max internet connection at home was a night mare then yesterday I hard wired my Amazon fire stick into the router instead of Wi-Fi as I was sick of the buffering and now our iPhones connect no bother to home Wi-Fi ? I’m not a tech nerd so if anyone can come up with a explanation please do so.

The issue isn't Apple making their phone incompatible, it's some routers not having properly implemented standards when they were sold.

The example I like to give is to imagine you had a business that owned a calculator where when you added 3 + 2 you got 5, but when you added 2 + 3 you got 6.

If you hire a new employee, is it their responsibility to remember to never add 2 + 3, or do you want to get a new calculator that can add correctly?

I contacted both Apple and Verizon but they both play the Blame game so I just gave up. My phone still drops wifi occasionally and I don’t have cell service at my house. My husband’s Samsung works fine. Friends and family have learned to just call or text him instead and he lets me know and I power off and turn my phone back on and return the calls and texts. The only issue is not knowing when my phone is connected or not. My phone doesn’t even show that I missed a call—nothing. I wouldn’t even know if they didn’t tell me they tried to call. My phone, (IPhone 12 Pro) doesn’t drop the wifi nearly as often as it used to so maybe some of the IOS upgrades have helped. I looked at getting a trac phone for home but I don’t want to have two phone numbers, etc. and it would cost about $100 a year.
