My wifi connection drops out

My Apple TV loses communication to my laptop. I need to turn off my wifi connection on my 2018 MacBook Air then back on to reestablish communicate to my Apple TV.


I enabled wifi logging and created a diagnostic report.


Can anyone tell me why I lose communication?

That indicates a weak network. I'm not talking about the speed of the network, I'm referring to the bandwidth. Is your network a Mesh network, if not you may want to consider researching them to see if you are good candidate. Before you do though please do the following;


  • Restart Modem
  • Restart Router
  • Unplug Apple TV from power for 2-3 minutes and then plug back in and re-test.
