How to fix problem 4013 without iTunes

Our ipad gives this message; The iPad “iPad” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4013). All solutions seems to want iTunes but our laptops no longer have this. What else can we try? We have checked cables etc. TIA

iPad wont restore I have an iPad 5th generation that wont restart or restore. When I plug into iTunes I attempt to use 'restore and update' to the factory settings. The software downloads and then when it tries to install on the iPad, i get the error 'an unknown error occurred (10)'. I have tried this process on both an MacBook and also a windows laptop. Does anyone have any ideas on what else might work? This laptop was working prior to this happening. Thanks

Download iTunes to one of your laptops.

Borrow access to a computer with iTunes from a friend/relative/co-worker

Visit your nearest Apple store or Apple authorized service provider

for assistance.
