Paired HomePod Volume Changing By Itself

Set up:

iPhone 12 Pro Max

ATV 4K- OS 14.2

2 HomePods (not Mini)- OS 14.2, paired and set as default speakers for ATV

I just added the second HomePod yesterday, and while playing music from my iPhone the HomePods' volume would suddenly crank itself all the way up. This happened 3 times in one night, and on 2 occasions, I was not anywhere near the phone or even in the same room where the HomePods are located.

Is anyone else having this issue?

The latest ATV and Homepod software seems to have improved reliability between these two devices but there are numerous reports that it has introduced major problems for Airplaying from other devices. Consider giving feedback to Apple:

Update: Used my devices a little more today and noticed 2 more issues:

while watching a movie, the volume bar keeps popping up randomly (every 30 seconds to a minute) without adjusting the volume.
After pausing music from my iPhone, the ATV will take over and randomly starts the music again. At this point, I lose control from my phone and will have to use the ATV remote (physical or app) to turn it off. From time to time, the ATV will start the audio again...

Not sure why the system is doing this, but seems to be a glitch somewhere.
