I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, I can't tag people on my Instagram image My wife has the same problem. But if you do it from another device, everything works

Hello, I was able to fix the issue. First I back up everything with icloud, then I reset my phone selecting Erase all content and settings. And then when my phone restarted fresh with nothing on it as I did not use the option to restore from my back up. Instead I just logged in my apply id so that my pictures and videos from icloud will be download back on my iphone. And then I download all the apps I needed manually from App Store including instagram, and just like that I can tag anyone again on my post. It works for me. You can try if you want but I can't assure if it will also work for you guys. Hope this helps. Hope that all of you will have a fix on your tagging issue with instagram. Take care always guys.

I really wish apple should look into this matter.... tagging issue on Instagram.... it’s been a long time. No solution... ☹️
It is my first time on iOS with the iPhone 12 Pro Max as well and I have the same problem too. I have to go back and use Android on Samsung S20 for tagging to work.
I had the latest iPad Air. I found the issue the same on iPad Os too.

I did exactly this and it worked….just had to add back my alarms, set up Apple Pay again and adjust my screen settings
