How do I buy an album on iTunes ... or Music?

When I try to buy an album on iTunes now, all I get is pop ups wanting me to sign up for a monthly payment to Apple. Grrrr. And after twenty minutes of Googling I haven't found a solution.

I want to be able to go on iTunes and buy the album I want. I don't want my credit card dinged every month.

Help!?

Ben

Thank you kindly FoxFifth, very much appreciated.

A bit of floundering around, and with your instructions I found it. I can run Final Cut or Logic or most apps without much effort, but somehow iTunes has always driven me nuts.

Love the old fashioned idea of being able to exchange one thing for another, a bit of money for a bit of music. The whole subscription thing always feels a bit like marrying someone you haven't met yet. Like those guys in the wilderness who would sign up to marry someone coming off a boat from Europe. Sight unseen.

A grand day to you today sir ...
