Hey again!

Did you happen to try the steps in those previous links I posted? And Mulberry58?

If so, did you also try resetting the printing system and trying to add it again?

In short:

Delete the printer.

Disconnect the printer.

Control, or Right Click the blank space where the printer normally is.

Click “Reset Printing System”.

If being stubborn and you still cannot re add it, and you have downloaded the latest drivers from Epson.com:

I’d open Finder.

On the top menu click Go > Computer > Macintosh HD (Usually) > Library > Printers.

From there delete the Epson folder and any other printers you see there that you don’t use anymore.

Then try again to add the printer, a standard restart if your Mac maybe a good idea as well.

Sometimes printer manufacturers come with their own Utilities, and sometimes they are needed.

If you saved that Printers/Epson folder, and open it, navigate the folders until you find a “Utilities” folder, this may have the program you need. However most likely it’s an outdated version, same as the Epson folder (If there) in Applications, or even Utilities. So it’s usually best to navigate their website, if your Mac is up to date and still not finding it.

Compatibility may also be a factor, some printer manufacturers discontinue support for older printers, so one that worked fine in say Catalina, may not work in Bug Sur, etc.

I’d try those steps, if you haven’t yet tried different cables, ports, restarting, etc. Let me know how it works out, and the results of each step if you’re able and available to, happy to lend a hand if I’m able to, cheers!

Hey there!

Is this a usb or wireless printer?

In either case, can you say what happens when attempting to add your printer? Also, if you are using an Epson Utility, or the System Preferences to add it?

This article may shed some light on a possible solution:

Fix Printing Problems On Mac:

Maybe Epson’s user guide may help as well:

Hope that helps!
