Catalina 10.15.7 and HP 3050 printer compatibility

My MacBook Air updated to Catalina 10.15.7 and suddenly I can no longer print/scan. I deleted the HP driver and reinstalled it (3 times) but get the same error message. The printer is not AirPrint enabled (whatever that means...), probably because it is about 8 years old. Is my only alternative to buy a new printer, or is there an HP driver fix I can't find??

I have once again downloaded the latest printer driver for MacOs from HP. It works for scanning after consulting earlier with Mac Genius, but now it will not print. The job shows up on the printer queue and then simply disappears without printing at all.

Print with catalina I purchased an HP Color Laser 150nw printer, but I can't use it with Catalina, while on a computer with WIndows 10 I had no problems. The printer is compatible with Airprint, but although it looks installed when I try to print, nothing happens. The print queue processes the document without having a print.
