Cracked Tempered Screen Protector

I have somehow managed to crack the tempered glass screen protector on my XS - Can I leave it as it is, or should I remove and replace it? Do I need to go to the Apple Store to have it removed and replaced ?

Removal of screen protector during repair I would like to know if it is a standard procedure to remove a screen protector from a MacBook Pro 16inch when being repaired (under warranty) to replace the logic board. this was done with a authorized repair service provider, but in a dodgy country so concerned my screen (possibly other parts) have been switched with knock off parts.

Apple will replace it if you buy a new one.

If you want warranty coverage on it, you need to contact the manufacturer of the screen protector.
