My new iPhone 12 Pro Max toggles the silent mode switch randomly to the on position. I don’t know why it’s doing that. I’ve turned off the “do not disturb” and “schedule” functions but the silent mode still toggles randomly to the on position. Could it be a software issue?

Seems like i have similar but different issue with my iphone 12.
switch is set on, at least once a day phone vibrates and goes to silent!

At time my iPhone 12 Pro Max just goes on silent mode and it’s not switched. When the silent mode is not switched on or not turn on silent. But my iPhone still is in silent mode and don’t know why.
Doesn't matter. This is the case physically turning the ringer switch off on the side of the phone.
I have an iPhone 13 and a very expensive Apple silicone case and it also switches to silent every day or so. It’s clearly a design fault and Apple needs to address it

I had same problem, cutting off the bridge in my Apple silicone case solved the problem on my iPhone 13 Max Pro! Many thanks!

I am having the same issue with my new 13. Apple sent me to repair shop and phone is good/all comments here say it’s the case?? Apple case was expensive and what case do I buy now
Same issue/ wheni called Apple they said nothing about case
Go back to my previously posted solution of widening the hole which works perfectly - and complain to Apple about their bad design. You don’t need a different case
Gently file it down, but be really careful, it’s the only answer
