CAN’T SAVE GIFS TO IPHONE ANYMORE
All of a sudden (overnight) when I save gifs from a website to my photos they are no longer animated, but instead a frozen frame from the gif. How do I fix this?!

You have to use Safari to save GIFs in their animated/moving format to your Gallery and to be able to text it to contacts.
It won't work in Google or Chrome as it will say "cannot save image" when you depress the image you want to save.
Mine saved perfectly fine after i did that (ios 14.3, iPhone 11 PM)

This issue is wide spread across all iPhones on iOS 14. When saving a gif from from any browser (including Safari) it saves as an image, a still image. It no longer saves a gif or any movement file
Please fix this Apple Can’t save GIFs to camera roll since ios14. Just Google search the many people wanting this feature back
ios14.3
Hello forrest82,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your message we understand that you're not seeing GIFs as animated, but as a still photo.
Be sure to first, Restart your iPhone. After restarting, if the issue persists, be sure that you're downloading the file, and not taking a screenshot of the image. If they are files that you're saving, see if there is any change if you open the GIF in Photos or try to insert it in a Message or email.
If the issue persists, let us know what iOS version number your iPhone is running.
All the best.
The gifs work only from certain sites, which tenor must be one. For many sites they still don’t function.
I just went to tenor.com from Safari, depressed my finger on the gif, selected "Add Photo" and it saved the gif to my photo gallery. When I opened it in my gallery it still was a moving file.
