I need help unlocking my iPhone because it’s saying it’s locked to a carrier or something and I was told to contact Apple support! I even checked to make sure using my imei number before purchasing the new plan & it said it was compatible but now it’s not working!!

You would have to contact the carrier it’s locked to. Depending on their unlocking policy they will unlock it for you
