Bluetooth speaker - music playing suddenly no sound

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14.2

Connected to Bluetooth speaker, working fine until I skip or change song while playing, new selected song appears to be playing on screen but stops streaming to speaker. I have to pause and play again for it to start up again through the speaker. Music is downloaded on iPhone, not using streaming service. I've seen other similar posts but haven’t found a post with a solution. Anyone?
