Uneven Gap Between Glass and Chase

I have had my iPhone 12 Pro for about 4 days now and I have noticed that the gap between the front glass and the steel rail is uneven. Meaning that there is a very tiny gap at the top-left corner but a very large gap at the bottom-right corner of the front glass. Similarly, there is a larger gap on the left side of the back glass than on the right side. Is this a manufacturing defect or is this normal? I also have concerns about water resistance.
