Apple TV App ID error? Can see library but it won't play

Signed into Apple TV APP on my LG Webos TV and can see my library but nothing will play, I get a pinwheel until that times out and I get an video can't play error.


More context. I am signed in and can play everything on my phone and my family members can as well. I used MY phone to sign in to the APP using the QR Code link validation process.


I suspect this is an Itunes/Apple TV agreement problem as I am old enough that my Itunes ID is my Gmail address and my Apple ID is my ME.com address.


I tried signing into the Apple TV App manually with my apple ID email but nothing at all shows up for that.


Thoughts?

iCloud can be a separate account, but your account for iTunes (iTunes Store and App Store) is the same as an Apple ID account. Although for most users, it would be best to use just one account for all services.


The subscription to Apple TV+ would be on the account that you used to sign up for the service (Apple ID account for iTunes Store and App Store).

For what it is worth, I saw very similar circumstances when Apple TV App and airplay became available on our 2018 LG OLED. Acivated OK, went to library it was empty. Reset, re-activated,.... no joy. Next day the library was populated, but be complained that the "video is unavailable". Now it is just untrustworthy, sometimes it will work, sometimes it just gives the spinner....... and / or a try again message. Welcome to the world of beta testing ?
