Hi SunbeamRapier
"Dear Apple" provides the space for these user-to-user communities, but it's users of the software and hardware under discussion wh participate here and provide the answers. Apple's leadership and development teams don't read or write here, and the Apple employees tasked with monitoring the communities are generally concerned with adherence to the terms of use agreement, or in the case of Community Specialists, with providing a response, usually containing a link to a knowledge base article related to the question asked.
To your question:
Tables cannot be rotated in Numbers or in Pages. If there is a need for the table to be active (editable) AND be rotated wrt to the page, then Pages is not the application for the job.
If the table is NOT expected to be active, you can easily take a screen shot of the table, rotate that image, and place it in your document, as was done with this example:
Should you want to suggest a change in Pages, use the Provide Pages Feedback item in the Pages menu to send a Feature Enhancement request.
Be aware, though, that it's been obvious from the beginning that, "let's make a Word clone" was not a design goal for Pages development. Should you need all the features of MS Word, be aware that MS does make a Mac version of Word as part of MS Office Mac. There is also the choice of LibreOffice, an open source office application that includes more Word (and Excel) features than Pages (or Numbers).
Description and download are available from the linked site.
