Hi,
Having spent an hour of so of trouble free photo editing, I tried to open a 3sec video clip and Photos immediately closed without warning. I have re-opened it 5 or 6 times and every time I try to open a photo, the app immediately closes. I can view the photos view on iPhone.
I am running Etrecheck now, but does anyone have any idea what may have caused this problem or know how to read error reports.

By way of update, I tried to view the same video files on another Mac and again the Photos app instantly closed. I then decided to export the files, delete the originals and re-import them and they now play fine. Does anyone have any idea what the problem was as this isn't the first time this has happened.
If the original files were corrupt in any way then I wouldn't expect to have been able to successfully export and reimport them. Also I was able to play the videos fine on my phone.
Oh, and given the number of crashes, should I run Repair library.
Etre identified the app crashes and stated it was due to dyld3 mode crashing on exception Editcontroller. if that means anything?
