facetime quitting on macbook air 2020

i tried using facetime group chat and it kept quiting after sometimes 5 minutes , sometimes 10 and my wifi connection is working properly and i didnt need a software update. Additionally i have facetime before this and it worked properly. not sure why the facetime app does not want to work all of sudden. Please help

If you haven't yet tested things out further since this first occurred, we'd certainly recommend doing so again. Also, it's possible that one of the other contacts on the call was having the issue, so you should also try testing things out with another group of contacts.

Sounds like you're experiencing disconnects at times while using FaceTime on your MacBook Air. We'd be happy to help.


To clarify, is this behavior only impacting Group FaceTime calls or do you also have this problem when calling only a single person? Have you tried testing things out over multiple networks? If you only have your home Wi-Fi network available, try restarting your router/modem to ensure you have a good network connection.
